Camilo and I have been in Japan for almost two weeks now! It has been a super fun adventure so far.
Let me run down a few things for you:
1. The mountains are gorgeous here, we are not used to this since Florida is so flat.
The bus ride from Osaka to Takamatsu |
2. Nikuman ((θγΎγ) is the bomb! It is basically like a dumpling with sweet bread. Unfortunately it is only here during the winter time; Japan is really big on seasonal foods.
Delicious nikuman from a konbini (convenience store) |
3. Our apartment is not as small as we thought! We have a kitchen, a bedroom and a living room, with a bathroom of course.
4. Japanese people do not believe in dryers (well they do but most households do not have one). So, you need to hang your clothes outside, and if it is windy pray that your clothes do not end up in someone else's lawn and then you have to Google translate what to say to your neighbor to get your clothes back.
5. They have a mascot for everything, even an electrical plant.
She's saying it's dangerous! |
TTFN, ta ta for now!
